Hot Crab Dip

 

             

Delicious as a nibble or as a starter. For individual portions divide between ramekins before cooking.

Preheat oven: 220c or 200c fan

Cooking time: 20 mins (may need grilling to brown)

Prep time: 10 mins (Easy)

Ingredients

8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 Tablespoon lemon juice
1 tbsp hot pepper sauce
green onions, finely chopped
2 cups lump crab meat (300g)
1/2 teaspoon each salt and freshly ground pepper
3 Tablespoons freshly grated Parmesan cheese
sliced or large cubes French ciabatta or sourdough bread

Small baking dish

Method
Mix cream cheese and mayonnaise in a large bowl until light and fluffy
Stir in lemon juice, pepper sauce, spring onions and season with salt and pepper
Fold in crab meat
Spread in a baking dish and sprinkle parmesan over the top
Bake in oven for 20 mins until top bubbly and golden (to golden up it may need to go under the grill for a minute)
Serve with sliced bread
